First Thoughts: Dermalogica Clean Start Tester Kit.

So I bought this in June and I decided to give it a try for a week or so. Im excited to try this as Dermalogica is a very reputable brand and this is a cheeper range.

Price?
I think this was about £20

Where can you buy?
Im not 100% sure but I bought these in Heathrow airport.

What it includes?
So you get 5 products and there are products for cleansing toning and moisturising.
Here are my first thoughts:

Im going from right to left:

The wash off cleanser is a clear gel like consistency, it lathers to a slight foam it removes makeup and leaves your skin very fresh and clean. I haven't tried to take off waterproof mascara yet. It has a earthy clean scent. It didn't leave my skin tight or dry.

The all over toner has again has an earthy lemon scent. It doesn't leave your skin feeling dry or tight. It dries slightly slow so I usually pat dry.

The matte moisturiser is very runny! I was very surprised at how runny it was. Its light and does give your skin a matte natural look. I think it works and would be good for someone with oily skin.

The ready set scrub is a clay mask consistency but it's not thick it's more of a cream. It's probably abrasive to most people but for me it's nice and exfoliating. It leaves the skin very soft and clean feeling.

The night spot stopper is a gel that you put on after cleansing and toning but I'm not sure if it is to go under a moisturiser or if it is a moisturiser itself. It dries very quick and isn't heavy on the skin.

Result?
So overall they have a peculiar scent sort of earthy and lemony. It doesn't irritate my skin and my skin feels soft and clean which is the aim of the range.
Although they are ok products so far, there are other brands that are equally do the same thing.

Would I buy again?
I doubt it, it's a quite expensive range and there are cheeper alternatives.

I will update you on my future findings.

I hope you enjoyed. Px

Review: Sleek Palette

So I want to review this palette because I think it is well worth it!

Where can you get it?
You can get it at SleekMakeup.com and I got mine in the UK at any well stocked Superdrug.

How much is it?
It is £4.95 so it would be about €6/7.

What does it include?
It has a get big mirror which is great for doing your makeup.
It has twelve amazingly pigmented mineral based eyeshadows, 3 are matte and 9 are shimmery.
And a double ended sponge tip applicator.

So it is very sleek, no pun intended, it is very slim and compact while there is a lot in the palette. The quality is amazing, the eyeshadows are so pigmented and I always think that a good company has good matte shades and this palette has amazing mattes, I crated a beautiful matte look using all three and its perfect for work. There are great shimmery neutrals for daytime and gorgeous deep shades for going out. This palette is perfect for going away 0r just everyday use. And all of this is at a great price and great quality.

The shadows have very little fallout except the deep blue shade.

All in all I love this palette!! It is just too good to pass up if you get the chance pick it up! And the beauty is that it is permanent!!

So if you have any questions please ask!

I hope you enjoyed!

New Stuff, Inglot, NARS, Revlon.

I got more Inglot! I love this brand so much!!

I got another 5 pan palette and a pigment. So..

#395, #402, #422, #63, #487

I use the first 4 as gorgeous eyeshadows and the last as a really nice dusky rose blush. This is the perfect travel palette!!
#23 pigment. The most gorgeous metallic silver, when wet it is just beautiful and over Illamasquas liquid metal in Phenomena it looks great!
For the silver swatches the first is 23 over Phenomena and the right is dry.

Swatches L-R - Rajasthan duo and Daphne Eyeshadow.
Both gorgeous shadows and don't write Daphne off because it's the nicest crease colour! It just sticks to the eye and brush a lot better than on your hand or finger.

Revlon colour burst lipstick in Peach - #75
Its a really nice colour, does exactly what it says on the tin :)

I hope you enjoyed!

Boycotting MAC

I was going to do a video on this but I think I will get too emotional and angry so words are the best medium to express anger because there is always the back button!

So I have never been a fan of MAC staff. Irish staff have irritated me from day one, the rudeness and unhelpful manner in which they go about their commission really irks me! Today I had my last experience of their horrid behaviour! Not an excuse me, not a pardon me, not a move, I hate being treated like Im invisible from staff. Im sick of their holier than thou attitude that they prance around with, I don't come up to them and say "Get me this!" "do that" Im a respectful customer and I think respectful customers should be treated well. I hate the fact that I give money to a company that are rude and act ungrateful to have a job.

Another reason:

I was on Temptalia and I saw the Rodarte scandal and I was shocked, I had no previous knowledge of Juarez but I am disgusted to think that a makeup company which has that much influence would do something so degrading of an extremely horrendous issue. Women are being killed, families are ruined, if this happened in the western world there would be outroar but because no one cares no one gets any justice and it kills me! It doesn't matter how much money they throw at Juarez it will not change the fact that this issue must be terrifying to live through and I understand you can't help everything that goes wrong in this world but it is just too unjust for a thoughtless act like MAC has done.

So thats it, there are kinder, better and more helpful brands of make up I will be trying. For now I want nothing to do with the company I just want MAC to understand you can't be so dumb, expect that this will all blow over and no one bat an eyelash.

It takes one pebble in a pool to create ripples. I hope that one day I can make a bigger difference than not buying makeup but for now it will do.
