New Phone!

I got an iPhone 4 today, I love it so much! I have wanted one ever since my friend and I talked of them. I love the square design so when the opportunity arose that I could get one I jumped!

I went straight to Tesco and bought a FoneWare case and I think it is adorable, I think it looks very well and i will keep you updated on the ware of the case. I might do a review on the three cases that I own for various apple products. The case was 14.99. I also bought FoneWear Screen Guards for 11.99, I thought these were quite expensive but you get three guards, a cleaning cloth and a smoothing card, which I recommend you use it, it does work! They are good quality as well, so they are worth the money.
My phone is essential for emails and general social networking however silly that may be but I enjoy it so yeah! I might also do a favourite apps post along with my review of the cases.

Do you like smartphones? I know quite a few who don't.

Chrismas Sale Haul.

So I went into town to drown my sorrows in the sales, one of my favourite dresses got damaged and so I wanted to replace it but alas it is sold out everywhere! I went to HMV because I love movies, they are one thing that I would watch constantly I would eat to them, workout to them, sleep to them. I am a tad obsessed. So since there was a sale I jumped on all of the movies that are generally too expensive at normal price.

I got Wimbledon (5.99): I love Paul Bettany, I loved him in Knights Tale with Heath Ledger. I love him voice it's just perfectly theatrical. I then got Get Him to the Greek (3.99): I love Jonah Hill and Russel  Brand. Both very funny. I got Scott Pilgrim (3.99): I love the gaming edits throughout. 500 Days of Summer (3.99): I love Jason Gordon-Levitt, nuff said! And of course Ghostbusters (2.99)! :D I love this movie!

I went to Brown Thomas and wanted to get a posh candle there is something very decadent of a fancy candle (18), I got the Lavender scent and it's gorgeous!

I then went to Lush and went straight to the sales table. I picked up some great products that I wouldn't normally buy.
I picked up one of their hair treatments, I use quite a bit of heat on my hair so I want it to have
good nourishment. I like this, the smell can get a little overpowering but it is nice and spicy.

I love body butters, they are a nice exfoliater  and they smell so rich and creamy. I got two, I wish I got four! Such good value!
I got this product because I needed a spot treatment and I heard this was good. I am excited to give it a go and review it properly.
And then there is the soap! I loved Snowcake last year but it was a little drying but this year I have found it to be more moisturising.
Sandstone is being discontunued so I wanted to pick up some more. I love it's citrus-y scent and it smells so clean without being like toilet cleaner. I also love the sand exfoliating top it has!

So that's it for now! I hope you liked reading this.
Thanks

New Year.

Ok so I know that everyone makes promises to themselves and they don't stick but I think this year will be different. I have been thinking of my life at the moment (Oh I know..so serious) and the thought of new things terrify me but I am going to try and jump in. There is a possibility of a job coming up and even if I don't get it I still can get some sort of sense of what is required from me, it will be terrifying but at least it would get me out of the house and maybe some extra cash. I will also be doing no fizzys all year. I used to have a huge slimline tonic water obsession and I used to drink a load of it a day. It's not healthy for you and I am not getting the right amount of water each day, so I will have no fizzy drinks/sugary drinks for the year and yes this does include Christmas, I can do this! I am going to cut down of juice and flavoured waters and just drink water. I would love a water cooler in my room but I don't think that is very attainable. To be honest I think this is going to be an achievable goal. Also more activity on this blog and on my Youtube. I have slacked off way too much! I apologize.

Now on to the little stuff. I will be being cleaner, now this means my room shall not turn into that bomb heap it so oft does and I shall also take charge of my bathroom, my clothes, my skin etc. I am generally not good at keeping things neat but I need to in order to get a hold on college and various other aspects of my life because I may be getting the extra pressure of a job. I will keep a diary, college assignments, work schedule and anything else that fills my day. I am going to be healthier, now I am a sweet junkie but I will have to limit myself each day. Only a small amount of unhealthy food a day and I have to eat three meals a day, everything else, as in a snack, will be water. Now this will probably be hard but I want to change, big time. I am also going to be able to drive by the end of the year. My first provisional is up this year so I want to get it. I also want to get it first time. Simple right? Lets hope so.

I would also like to try get out of the house once a day, either play with my dog outside or go for a small walk but I want fresh air once a day. I also want to try do a small amount of yoga or exercise each day. Also trying new things is also a big goal for me. Also more traveling! I need traveling!

So yes..it is a fairly long list of things but I hope that I can keep it up. It's the small things I am working on that will help me with the big things.

I hope you had an amazing Christmas and New Year.

Will write soon!

Product Rave #1

I have chosen two MAC products that I got recently and I absolutely love them!
I wear them daily and they are absolutely beautiful!

So first product I chose was Blackberry Eyeshadow a beautiful matte plum shade with a grayish undertone, it looks a bit ashy. It is smooth and pigmented although the swatch suggests otherwise but on the brush it is perfect. I have only tried this shade in the crease and not the lid but I will update this if I do try it out on the lid but as it is a plum it can make the eyes look bruised if used too much but this shade is perfect for deepening the crease and it's just beautiful! I really love it. It is just the perfect addition to an eye look!

The second product is Rosemary and Thyme Eye Kohl. I absolutely love this, it is a beautiful olive shade with gold glitter, it is gorgeous! It is perfect for lining the bottom lash line and I love to use it in the inner corner. It is such a wearable colour and it goes with golds and browns and purples so well witch is the shades I wear the most. It is a perfect everyday pencil and I really recommend it!!

Top: Rosemary and Thyme Eye Kohl.
Bottom: Blackberry Eyeshadow.

I really hope you enjoyed this post! The accompanying video is here!

Thank you!

Review: Sleek's Monaco Palette from the Mediterranean Collection

I had seen this on a few blogs and I didn't really think too much of it, they were fun colours but I didn't really take any notice until I went into Superdrug and saw it in person. There are mostly matte shades, 8 to be exact and then there is one satin shade and there are three super matalic shimmery shades. I really like the colours they are very pigmented and they are shades that don't normally appear in your average makeup palette.

I love the three aqua colours they go from a very pale pretty, almost mint green aqua called Summer Breeze to a deeper matte turquoise in Aquamarine and then to a gorgeous shimmery blue aqua with a tonne and I mean a tonne of gold glitter called Humming Bird, it's a beautiful shade!

It has some really fun colours like the Magenta Madness witch is a shocking pink, it's got a nice light purple which is Lotus Flower, Washed Ashore witch is a really pretty pale orange colour and Kiwi Zest is a great bright lime green with shimmer.

Not only does it have the brights but it has really wearable shades as well that you can incorporate them with any look! Bamboo and Sand Walker are perfect for highlight colours and blending colours, Midnight Garden is a gorgeous matte navy and it's perfect as a crease colour and Moors Treasure is a beautiful wine colour and Sunset which is a beautiful copper colour.

(L-R): Bamboo, Aquamarine, Midnight Garden, Sunset, Washed Ashore, Magenta Madness
Summer Breeze, Sand Walker, Kiwi Zest, Lotus Flower. Humming Bird, Moors Treasure.

They are really fun, bright but wearable colours, they are really nicely pigmented and so easy to blend. I couldn't recommend this more! If you can find it get it!

Tutorials for this look can be found on my youtube channel!

I hope you enjoyed!! :)

Review: YSL Golden Gloss

So I am very fortunate to be able to splurge on products at certain times of the year ie. my birthday and christmas. I usually get these expensive products in duty free.

So I decided to get to get a YSL Golden Gloss in number 19 Golden Petal
It's a beautiful rosy pink shade with quite big gold glitter which looks great on the lips.

It's got a brush tip applicator which actually, for me, picks up too much product.
The smell is a really nice watermelon fresh scent. It is not sticky at all and wears a good time.
I really like these products they are a tick gloss but it really doesn't feel like it on the lips. It's a very pigmented gloss as well.

It is such a shame that this product €28 it is so expensive. As I have just found out there is a bit of 24 carat gold in the gloss so that is probably why it is so expensive.

This product is great and I would buy more but the price is just too much that I can't justify buying another.
If you want to splurge then I would recommend this but if you want a nice gloss there are great drugstore brands like Revlon and Barry M to choose from.

This is paired with Maybellines Ambre Rose and it just looks gorgeous!

I hope you enjoyed this post. Thanks so much.

Review: Topshop Lip Polish Trio

I saw that Topshop makeup was having a sale on their makeup so I was straight over!
The things on sale were actually quite good but a lot of them were open which was the annoying thing as I couldn't really judge if they were sanitary.

I got the stack of three lip polishes which retail 21 but I got them for €7! Such a good bargain!

The three colours are Chiffon, Cherry Picker and Cracker. They are a brilliantly pigmented balm, they feel great on, non sticky and light. They are so easy to apply, I applied all three with my fingers but with the red and the berry shade if you were going out to a party or dinner you may want to apply with a brush so you don't end up like a clown :P
I would really recommend these polishes, they come in great shades and feel great on and look great on. I really want to go and get more.

First lets start with Chiffon:

It's a really pretty pink shade with gold sparkle, probably my favourite, it's so easy to wear and looks great.

Cherry Picker:

It's a lovely black cherry juice colour, I love it, it's really beautiful. I this would be my second favourite. Would love to wear this on a night out it's very classic.

Cracker:

A basic, classic red shade, it's lovely.

The three shades Chiffon, Cherry Picker and Cracker.

I love these! I want more!

I really hope you enjoyed this post. Thanks so much for reading!

NO! :( Nars Cyprus

Nars's Cyprus is probably the most beautiful soft gold eyeshadow but I have had a little accident with it and as it is so soft it broke at the corners :(

I have a mission to use it all because I can't take throwing away this amazing eyeshadow that, lets face it, cost me an arm! So this will be my main lid colour for the foreseeable future.

I really love this eyeshadow! But it's so soft and pigmented that it will break if you drop it.
So be warned Nars owners! :)

Hope this is helpful!

Review: Topshop Gloss

As there was a sale on Topshop makeup I decided to check out what they had and I saw this amazing deep purple gloss. I just thought it was amazing looking. I don't know the original retail price but I picked this up for 4! Serious bargain as the MAC lip glosses are €17.

It's a beautiful vampy purple with blue, gold, purple and some orange and silver glitter. It's not too pigmented on the lips but it gives a dark plum colour. It has a high gloss gloss but the glitter doesn't really show up witch is a pity. The gloss is tacky it's not sticky, you can feel it on your lips but when you smack your lips together it doesn't feel gloopy, it feels smooth and secure, like it would last on the lips.

The colour is in Gloom. The one thing that really annoys me about this product is that it's difficult to get product out, the stopper in the gloss scrapes back quite a bit of product but I'm sure you can take the stopper out and fish out all the gloss you need.

I love this paired with my Collection 2000 lipstick in Mudslide. Looks amazingly dramatic and glossy. They work so well together. I really like this lipgloss, it's not the norm but it's pretty and its unusual.
I'd go in and see if there are any left it's well worth the bargain!

Hope you enjoyed this post! Thanks

Dramatic Silver Blue Eye with Illamasqua Products.

There will be a tutorial in the near future, I will post it on my blog when it's up :)

I used the new pigment I purchased called Android it's a beautiful shimmery blue with a tonne of silver sparkle! When foiled (when water is added to the brush and dipped into the product) it comes out the most beautiful metallic silvery blue. Will be reviewing my Illamasqua pigments soon so stay tuned!

In the crease I used Illamasqua's Never eyeshadow and it's a beautiful bright navy blue.
It works really well in the crease as when you start to blend and work it into the crease it darkens and becomes very smokey. I really love this colour.

To accompany this look, I just contoured with a darker bronzer and added a nude lip.

I really hoped you like the look!

Ramble! :)

I did a really fun look yesterday I took a screen grab from the tutorial I really like it:

I forgot to take any pictures. But the tutorial will be up after the bronze purple look. I had to push back the upload as it wouldn't work but it will go up soon.

I have been in a real cleaning mood recently, I have cleared out 7 bags of rubbish and one bag of clothes. It feels great just to be rid of the crap.
Also I have been incredibly sneezy I think I am allergic to something but I don't know what, I know I can do dust, animal hair, pollen. So generally summer is killer for me..I suppose I will just have to take antihistamines everyday as I can't really take this.

Right now I'm going to watch Doctor Who and stay in bed :)

I hope you have a great day :)
