Hauling: Duty free and MAC

So I was recently away for a few days and when in duty free I decided to splurge! :D

Before then I went to MAC and decided to look at the Surf, Baby! collection. I got talking to the MA next to me and for once she was really nice and pleasant! There was only two of the blushes left and I couldn't resist!

It's a beautiful peachy coral and I think it works really well for my skin tone and my eye and hair colour. The gold over lay is quite chunky gold shimmer but it's still gorgeous with the colour and it's a real pity it wont last. I really like it, it's along the lines of my favourite blush which is Melba.

I swatched this palette ages ago in Blackrock and when I saw it in duty free I really wanted to try it out.

It's got 12 eyeshadows and 4 cream eyeshadows. They are nicely pigmented and really wearable. And I have some nice colours to play with.

This next item was a complete whim, I wanted something new and pretty so I decided to splurge for a lipgloss from YSL

It's No.19 Golden Petal, it's a gorgeous colour! Really love it!

My the Balm bronzer broke when in transit so I needed a new one, I had heard Guerlain bronzers were really good so i saw this and decided to try it and I love it! They are gorgeous!

An in depth review is coming for all of these products! So watch out :)

Wow! It's been a long time!

So I haven't made a post in a very long time I apologize! But I am back! I think I will start with a face of the day and then go on about reviews and hauls and things like that SO lets get started! This is my face today :)

I thought I would play with some of the things I got in duty free on my holiday, I really like them all and a post will be coming soon about them. Finally! :P

I did my eyes a gold smokey eye, I think it's gorgeous personally!
I used the Smashbox Beauty in a Box Eye Palette.
I used No. 7 on the lid
No. 8 in the crease
Used my gel eyeliner on the waterline and smudged under the lashline.
My YSL mascara to give me gorgeous lashes!

I have a video which explains this a bit better when it's upload it I will put it in here.

On my lips I put a small bit of foundation to cancel out my dark lips colour and I applied YSL's Golden Gloss in No. 19 - Golden Petal. It is so beautiful!!

So on my face I used Revlon colourstay for my foundation.
My Guerlain Bronxing Duos in 00 and 02.
I used MAC's My Paradise cheek colour.

Most of these products mentioned will have their own post sooner or later.
I hope you enjoyed!

Thanks so much.

Purchases: MAC Venomous Villains Collection and Swatches

I love the packaging. I love the colours they style.

I really like the faces on the products, many people didn't like the packaging but I really like it!
So what did I get? I got One item from Cruella De-Vil, one from Malificent and three from the Evil Queen.
(L-R) Her Own Devices Beauty powder, Toxic Tale Lipstick, Oh So Fare Beauty Powder, Strange Potion Lipgloss, She Who Dares Eyeshadow Duo.

This is Strange Potion on my very pigmented lips. I am impressed it is so opaque!

This is Toxic Tale I really like this it's such a unique colour I like it on me but Im not brave enough to wear this for everyday.

So top row: Oh So Fare, Her Own Devices, She Who Dares
Bottom: Toxic Tale, Strange Potion.

Boycotting MAC

I was going to do a video on this but I think I will get too emotional and angry so words are the best medium to express anger because there is always the back button!

So I have never been a fan of MAC staff. Irish staff have irritated me from day one, the rudeness and unhelpful manner in which they go about their commission really irks me! Today I had my last experience of their horrid behaviour! Not an excuse me, not a pardon me, not a move, I hate being treated like Im invisible from staff. Im sick of their holier than thou attitude that they prance around with, I don't come up to them and say "Get me this!" "do that" Im a respectful customer and I think respectful customers should be treated well. I hate the fact that I give money to a company that are rude and act ungrateful to have a job.

Another reason:

I was on Temptalia and I saw the Rodarte scandal and I was shocked, I had no previous knowledge of Juarez but I am disgusted to think that a makeup company which has that much influence would do something so degrading of an extremely horrendous issue. Women are being killed, families are ruined, if this happened in the western world there would be outroar but because no one cares no one gets any justice and it kills me! It doesn't matter how much money they throw at Juarez it will not change the fact that this issue must be terrifying to live through and I understand you can't help everything that goes wrong in this world but it is just too unjust for a thoughtless act like MAC has done.

So thats it, there are kinder, better and more helpful brands of make up I will be trying. For now I want nothing to do with the company I just want MAC to understand you can't be so dumb, expect that this will all blow over and no one bat an eyelash.

It takes one pebble in a pool to create ripples. I hope that one day I can make a bigger difference than not buying makeup but for now it will do.

New Purchases.

So since Illamasqua's amnesty programme was amazing I had to go get some products!

So I got Lucid lipgloss, it's a very yellow nude but on the lips it's a very light pink.
I think if you had the opacity of the gloss it would look very strange so I recommend it thin.

I got Phenomenon liquid metal which I LOVE! it is such a good lip extra. I will definitely do some looks with it!. Also if you mix this with Solstice you get surge liquid metal. I love liquid metals!! It is a grey gel type substance with lots of silver glitter and I love it!

I got two medium pencils and they are fantastic!! As you can use them on eyes and lips they are such a good multi purpose pencil I really recommend Hex because it's a great neutral waterline pencil to open up the eye. And Spell looks amazing on both waterlines and lips. I need more of these! I think I need a purple and a blue maybe.

I got the blusher brush 1 and I really like it it is synthetic and it is so soft, it blends extremely well, it also looks great. I really want to try more brushes from them!

Last thing I got was from MAC and my sister was looking at the new collection and tried of the coral pink one and to make her feel easier I tried on this one and I really love it! It leaves my very pigmented lips a rosey hue which just looks very natural and over a nude lipstick it looks great! And the coolest thing is it BULE!! SO fun I love it!

Hope you enjoyed :)
