Illamasqua Art Of Darkness Collection Purchases and Swatches.

So I had to get some products from the new Art Of Darkness collection after seeing the promo images. They are so beautiful and edgy I love them!!

So I had to buy the two new nail polishes they are so gorgeous.

Scarab - A beautiful red with gold reflects it gives a gorgeous copper tone to the nails its absolutely gorgeous!

Veridian - A gorgeous blue green. Stunning sparkle with a top coat.
I love these nail polishes but they chip quite a bit within the first day but I think that is just my nails becuase it happens with every nail polish!

I have never had a pigment from Illamasqua so when I saw this colour I really wanted to try it.
Ore - It's a beautiful bronze copper with a tone of sparkle!! I mean lots of glitter!
I love the colour and the glitter doesn't travel too much which is good! I would definitely recommend!

And of course! I got two of the three liquid metals. I can't rave enough about this product I lOVE them! And they look gorgeous under Ore.

Resolute - I love this it is absolutely stunning! It's a deep red burgundy I love deep reds and this works really well as a lip colour!! I love it and really recommend!

Stoic - A gorgeous teal green really really pretty! Will probably use this most as an eyeliner under the eyes it's so pretty! Again It looks great underneath Ore.

Swatches - Ore, Resolute and Stoic

I will have looks coming up with the liquid metals and maybe nail swatches.

So i hope you enjoyed!

An exciting and probably unnecessary edition to my collection.

Yay! I love neutrals! I think they look get on everyone and this palette would be perfect for just about anyone and that's why I like it. I haven't used it yet but it's great, I have always loved Urban Decay and their eyeshadows and I have had 3 of their palettes and really loved them all!

They are so silky and beautifully pigmented! Such nice colours!

Can't wait to create looks using this!

Kim Kardashian Inspired look

Revlon Purchases.

I have wanted to try these Revlon products for ages! So I have finally got them and I really like them!

I have wanted to try Colour stay for ages as it was the closest thing to MACs Studio fix fluid but I never wanted to try studio fix. I really love this foundation and I have only used it for two days and it's perfect for everyday wear! I really like this and Im really glad I spent €17 on this than a €38 MAC one that does the same job!

I have wanted to try one of these for ages!

I love these colours they are great on the go and for everyday use, the cream shade is my favourite it's perfect for a highlight! There seems to be 3 satin/matte shades the cream, toupe and brown. I love them!
I LOVE!!! It's the most gorgeous lip colour over a nude lipstick! It's so easy to wear and it goes with every look I have done recently. I really recommend these as the are not sticky or heavy on the lips.

So Revlon gets a huge thumbs up from me! I love these products and I think it totalled to €34 which is still cheaper than a MAC foundation!

So I hope you enjoyed

First Thoughts: Dermalogica Clean Start Tester Kit.

So I bought this in June and I decided to give it a try for a week or so. Im excited to try this as Dermalogica is a very reputable brand and this is a cheeper range.

Price?
I think this was about £20

Where can you buy?
Im not 100% sure but I bought these in Heathrow airport.

What it includes?
So you get 5 products and there are products for cleansing toning and moisturising.
Here are my first thoughts:

Im going from right to left:

The wash off cleanser is a clear gel like consistency, it lathers to a slight foam it removes makeup and leaves your skin very fresh and clean. I haven't tried to take off waterproof mascara yet. It has a earthy clean scent. It didn't leave my skin tight or dry.

The all over toner has again has an earthy lemon scent. It doesn't leave your skin feeling dry or tight. It dries slightly slow so I usually pat dry.

The matte moisturiser is very runny! I was very surprised at how runny it was. Its light and does give your skin a matte natural look. I think it works and would be good for someone with oily skin.

The ready set scrub is a clay mask consistency but it's not thick it's more of a cream. It's probably abrasive to most people but for me it's nice and exfoliating. It leaves the skin very soft and clean feeling.

The night spot stopper is a gel that you put on after cleansing and toning but I'm not sure if it is to go under a moisturiser or if it is a moisturiser itself. It dries very quick and isn't heavy on the skin.

Result?
So overall they have a peculiar scent sort of earthy and lemony. It doesn't irritate my skin and my skin feels soft and clean which is the aim of the range.
Although they are ok products so far, there are other brands that are equally do the same thing.

Would I buy again?
I doubt it, it's a quite expensive range and there are cheeper alternatives.

I will update you on my future findings.

I hope you enjoyed. Px

Review: Sleek Palette

So I want to review this palette because I think it is well worth it!

Where can you get it?
You can get it at SleekMakeup.com and I got mine in the UK at any well stocked Superdrug.

How much is it?
It is £4.95 so it would be about €6/7.

What does it include?
It has a get big mirror which is great for doing your makeup.
It has twelve amazingly pigmented mineral based eyeshadows, 3 are matte and 9 are shimmery.
And a double ended sponge tip applicator.

So it is very sleek, no pun intended, it is very slim and compact while there is a lot in the palette. The quality is amazing, the eyeshadows are so pigmented and I always think that a good company has good matte shades and this palette has amazing mattes, I crated a beautiful matte look using all three and its perfect for work. There are great shimmery neutrals for daytime and gorgeous deep shades for going out. This palette is perfect for going away 0r just everyday use. And all of this is at a great price and great quality.

The shadows have very little fallout except the deep blue shade.

All in all I love this palette!! It is just too good to pass up if you get the chance pick it up! And the beauty is that it is permanent!!

So if you have any questions please ask!

I hope you enjoyed!

New Stuff, Inglot, NARS, Revlon.

I got more Inglot! I love this brand so much!!

I got another 5 pan palette and a pigment. So..

#395, #402, #422, #63, #487

I use the first 4 as gorgeous eyeshadows and the last as a really nice dusky rose blush. This is the perfect travel palette!!
#23 pigment. The most gorgeous metallic silver, when wet it is just beautiful and over Illamasquas liquid metal in Phenomena it looks great!
For the silver swatches the first is 23 over Phenomena and the right is dry.

Swatches L-R - Rajasthan duo and Daphne Eyeshadow.
Both gorgeous shadows and don't write Daphne off because it's the nicest crease colour! It just sticks to the eye and brush a lot better than on your hand or finger.

Revlon colour burst lipstick in Peach - #75
Its a really nice colour, does exactly what it says on the tin :)

I hope you enjoyed!

Boycotting MAC

I was going to do a video on this but I think I will get too emotional and angry so words are the best medium to express anger because there is always the back button!

So I have never been a fan of MAC staff. Irish staff have irritated me from day one, the rudeness and unhelpful manner in which they go about their commission really irks me! Today I had my last experience of their horrid behaviour! Not an excuse me, not a pardon me, not a move, I hate being treated like Im invisible from staff. Im sick of their holier than thou attitude that they prance around with, I don't come up to them and say "Get me this!" "do that" Im a respectful customer and I think respectful customers should be treated well. I hate the fact that I give money to a company that are rude and act ungrateful to have a job.

Another reason:

I was on Temptalia and I saw the Rodarte scandal and I was shocked, I had no previous knowledge of Juarez but I am disgusted to think that a makeup company which has that much influence would do something so degrading of an extremely horrendous issue. Women are being killed, families are ruined, if this happened in the western world there would be outroar but because no one cares no one gets any justice and it kills me! It doesn't matter how much money they throw at Juarez it will not change the fact that this issue must be terrifying to live through and I understand you can't help everything that goes wrong in this world but it is just too unjust for a thoughtless act like MAC has done.

So thats it, there are kinder, better and more helpful brands of make up I will be trying. For now I want nothing to do with the company I just want MAC to understand you can't be so dumb, expect that this will all blow over and no one bat an eyelash.

It takes one pebble in a pool to create ripples. I hope that one day I can make a bigger difference than not buying makeup but for now it will do.

New Purchases.

So since Illamasqua's amnesty programme was amazing I had to go get some products!

So I got Lucid lipgloss, it's a very yellow nude but on the lips it's a very light pink.
I think if you had the opacity of the gloss it would look very strange so I recommend it thin.

I got Phenomenon liquid metal which I LOVE! it is such a good lip extra. I will definitely do some looks with it!. Also if you mix this with Solstice you get surge liquid metal. I love liquid metals!! It is a grey gel type substance with lots of silver glitter and I love it!

I got two medium pencils and they are fantastic!! As you can use them on eyes and lips they are such a good multi purpose pencil I really recommend Hex because it's a great neutral waterline pencil to open up the eye. And Spell looks amazing on both waterlines and lips. I need more of these! I think I need a purple and a blue maybe.

I got the blusher brush 1 and I really like it it is synthetic and it is so soft, it blends extremely well, it also looks great. I really want to try more brushes from them!

Last thing I got was from MAC and my sister was looking at the new collection and tried of the coral pink one and to make her feel easier I tried on this one and I really love it! It leaves my very pigmented lips a rosey hue which just looks very natural and over a nude lipstick it looks great! And the coolest thing is it BULE!! SO fun I love it!

Hope you enjoyed :)
